Just hanging around

I've been feeling a little down about the cold winter weather thats been rolling through nyc lately, so I thought i'd bring some promise of spring into the apartment with some flowers. This wall hanging is really quick and easy to make and can be as big or small as you want to make it to fill some space!

These are the materials you need to create this piece of decor:

WOODEN DOWEL OR CHOPSTICK

HEMP STRING

ROPE

You can start by tying either side of the hemp string to the ends of the dowel or stick. Cut each piece of rope twice the length that you want it to be, and loop each one on the stick equally apart. To knot, take two pieces of string for the middle and weave the two ropes on either side above and below opposite ways to interlock. Keep alternating between doing two on the outside and one on the inside until you are all out of string or at your desired length.

There will be a space in the middle where you can weave in a flower (either fake or real) to bring a little nature (& a little more joy) into your home.
